Matt Fraser - Director
Matt Fraser's experience in sports management started with his position as Marketing and Media Manager at Tennis Victoria based at Melbourne Park. This role involved promotion of tennis in Victoria as well as raising sponsorship revenue from the tennis events and programs that the organisation controlled. Associated positions with the Ford Australian Open helped Matt gain experience with a major international event.
Matt worked for Tennis Victoria for four years before being offered a position with the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) as Corporate Sales Executive. This position involved selling and servicing sponsorship and corporate entertainment packages for all race meetings at Flemington Racecourse including the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Matt was involved in the sales and servicing of major VRC sponsorships including the Foster's, AAMI and Emirates sponsorships. Matt's association with the racing industry has led to both him being a racing sponsorship specialist which a number of his clients have benefited from by spending their money both wisely and in conjunction with their other marketing objectives.
After 18 months at the VRC Matt decided to look for other opportunities in increasing his experience in the event marketing and sales area outside of sport. Matt was offered a position as the Sponsorship Manager with the Melbourne Festival. This position entailed selling and servicing sponsorship rights for the artforms and events featured during each year's Festival. It also involved raising sponsorship revenue for an event the Festival was commissioned by the State Government of Victoria to manage - Melbourne's Millennium Eve Celebrations. Due to a number of opportunities presenting themselves Matt finished his position with the Festival to work for FMG full time.
Matt has experienced the operations of a number of high profile international events held in Australia. Through his experience working for the organisations above he has developed a very useful list of contacts and made strong working relationships with many individuals from a wide range of event and sponsorship suppliers, companies and industries. Matt's other advantage is his ability to create new concepts, new methods and also then deliver them.
