| On Monday, 7th September 2009, Melbourne will play host to one of the most important events on the AFL calendar - the AFL Players' Association Most Valuable Player Awards.
These are the only player voted awards - where the players decide who amongst their peers deserves the title of Most Valuable Player, the Most Courageous, the Best First Year Player and Best Captain for the season just passed.
